Low-Quality Rice I Prices in Riau Islands are the Highest Nationally (Friday, April 7, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 12,480 per kg for low-quality type I rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, April 7, 2023. Overall, this week's average is higher than the previous week's average of Rp 12,360 per kg.

The daily price of low-quality type I rice in modern markets in Riau Islands was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 14,750 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality type I rice in this province is higher, previously recorded at Rp 13,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, in North Sulawesi's modern markets, low-quality type I rice was sold at Rp 14,300 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality type I rice in Maluku was Rp 14,100 per kg, Riau Rp 13,850 per kg, and West Papua Rp 13,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, 13 provinces had low-quality type I rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for low-quality type I rice were West Sulawesi, Bali, and West Nusa Tenggara.
