West Java Food Prices Wednesday (2/10): Chicken and Sugar Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (2/10/2024) at 08.48 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, farmer-level corn, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, red chilies, milkfish, garlic bulbs, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp400 (7.37%) to Rp5,830 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chilies saw the steepest price drop, decreasing Rp3,670 (12.81%) to Rp24,980 per kg.
