Sumatera Selatan Food Prices Wednesday (July 31st): Beef, Egg, and Chicken Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 13.43 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, shallot bulbs, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red onion, SPHP rice, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallot bulbs experienced the highest price increase of Rp430 (1.17%) to Rp37,280 per kg. Meanwhile, red onions saw the largest price decrease of Rp480 (1.81%) to Rp26,040 per kg.
