Indonesian Rupiah Strengthens to Rp 15,348 per US Dollar (Thursday, October 13, 2022)

As of 10:43 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market is traded at Rp 15,348 per US dollar on Thursday, October 13, 2022. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.07% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,357 per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to be in the range of 15342.5 - 15360 per US dollar.

As shown on investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 1.04% in a week. Compared to 30 days ago, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 2.9%.

However, for the one-year data range, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually experienced a decrease (strengthening). In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,360 per US dollar.

For the period January-October 2022, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market experienced a weakening trend, moving 3.04% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at the level of Rp 14,895 per US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won weakened by 1.91 points (+0.13%) to KRW 1,426.82 per US dollar, the Japanese yen strengthened by 0.04 points (-0.03%), the Singapore dollar strengthened by 0.0008 points (-0.05%), the euro weakened (+0.07%), and the Chinese yuan weakened (+0.06%).
