Regional and Village Fund Transfers of Rp 770.41 Trillion in the 2022 State Budget

The Indonesian government allocated a state expenditure budget of Rp 2,708.68 trillion in the 2022 State Budget (RAPBN). Of this amount, Rp 770.41 trillion was allocated for transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD). The remaining Rp 1,938.27 trillion was allocated for central government spending.

The TKDD budget comprises Rp 673.66 trillion in equalization funds, Rp 7 trillion in regional incentive funds, and Rp 21.76 trillion for special autonomy funds and Yogyakarta Special Region's special funds. Village funds received Rp 68 trillion.

The equalization funds are further divided into general transfer funds and special transfer funds. The government allocated Rp 483.26 trillion for general transfer funds and Rp 190.39 trillion for special transfer funds.

TKDD allocations have shown an upward trend since 2001, increasing significantly with the disbursement of village funds in 2015. The highest allocation was reached in 2018 at Rp 812.97 trillion.

Note that TKDD is part of state expenditure to fund fiscal decentralization in the form of equalization funds, regional incentive funds, special autonomy funds, and Yogyakarta Special Region's special funds.
