Current Food Prices in Jambi Province: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Jambi today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (4/7/2024) at 08.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, tongkol fish, pure beef, milkfish, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp4,140 (9.2%) to Rp49,160 per kg. Shallots experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp1,610 (4.9%) to Rp31,240 per kg.
