West Sumatra Food Prices, Monday (23/12): Salt Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (23/12/2024) at 08.04 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, milkfish, mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), broiler chicken meat, red chilies, garlic cloves, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp24,250 (64.8%) to Rp61,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken meat decreased the most by Rp7,980 (21.29%) to Rp29,500 per kg.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (down 2.06%)
2. Milkfish: Rp61,670 per kg (up 64.8%)
3. Mackerel: Rp56,660 per kg (up 12.69%)
4. Garlic Cloves: Rp39,330 per kg (down 2.14%)
5. Shallots: Rp34,670 per kg (up 13.12%)
6. Red Chilies: Rp34,330 per kg (down 8.36%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 19.76%)
8. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp29,500 per kg (down 21.29%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,520 per kg (down 4.13%)
10. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp21,000 per liter (up 23.02%)
11. Fine Iodized Salt: Rp20,000 per kg (up 32.01%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,670 per liter (up 5.98%)
13. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 6.03%)
14. Premium Rice: Rp15,420 per kg (down 11.53%)
15. Packaged Wheat Flour (non-bulk): Rp14,330 per kg (up 6.7%)
