Latest Food Prices in Banten Region: Chili Pepper Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (8/5/2025) at 11:07 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 14 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are garlic bulb, fresh local buffalo meat, red cayenne pepper, curly red chili, and consumption sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, premium rice, milkfish, packaged cooking oil, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper commodity increased the most by Rp2,778 (5.88%) to Rp50,000 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish price decreased the most sharply by Rp4,095 (11.86%) to Rp30,429 per kg.
