Indonesia's Weekly Food Prices (November 17th): Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (17/11/2024) at 14.10 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, iodized fine salt, shallots, bulk wheat flour, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, pure beef, milkfish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp300 (0.72%) to Rp42,220 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp50 (0.84%) to Rp5,900 per kg.
