Latest Food Prices in Banten Region: Sugar Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (8/8/2025) at 11:56 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 14 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with increased prices include consumption sugar, SPHP rice, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and fresh buffalo meat (local).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, frozen buffalo meat (imported), curly red chili, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Consumption sugar saw the highest increase of Rp472 (2.65%) to Rp18,267 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level dropped the most by Rp2,100 (25.93%) to Rp6,000 per kg.
