Latest Food Prices in East Java, How Much are Chilies?

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at 13:30 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 13 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, mackerel, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and red chilies have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase, up Rp489 (1.45%) to Rp34,250 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,150 (2.48%) to Rp45,252 per kg.
