Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices, Monday (July 22nd): Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (22/7/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, milkfish, farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, curly red chilies, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp930 (20.35%) to Rp5,500 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the largest price decrease, dropping Rp3,700 (10.76%) to Rp30,690 per kg.
