A number of assets belonging to convicts in the corruption case involving PT Asuransi Jiwasraya, namely Benny Tjokrosaputra and Heru Hidayat, have been seized by the Attorney General's Office (Kejagung).
According to *Kontan.co.id*, Ketut Sumedana, Head of the Attorney General's Office Public Relations Center, detailed a recapitulation of the assets seized from convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, alias Bentjok.
The seized assets include land and shares. Regarding land, the Attorney General's Office seized 2,031 plots of land totaling 14,356,860 square meters (m2) or 1,435.68 hectares in 2022-2023.
Meanwhile, the shares are worth billions of rupiah. "Shares worth Rp96.75 billion, representing 25% of PT Mandiri Mega Jaya's shares in PT Putra Asih Laksana," said Ketut in a written statement on Thursday (6/7/2023).
Ketut added that other seized assets include dividends worth Rp8.21 billion in 2023. This represents the final dividend for the 2022 fiscal year belonging to PT Mandiri Mega Jaya.

Similar to Bentjok, the Attorney General's Office also seized land and shares belonging to convict Heru Hidayat. Regarding land, 17 plots of land totaling 130,035 m2 or 13 hectares were seized in 2023.
"Shares worth Rp1.94 trillion, which are shares of PT Gunung Bara Utama," Ketut stated.
Ketut said the seizure of assets belonging to convicts Bentjok and Heru was carried out in the case of criminal acts of financial management and investment funds by PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (persero) during the period 2008-2018.
The seizure stemmed from the Supreme Court Cassation Decision Number 2937 K/Pid.Sus/2021 on August 24, 2021, in the name of convict BENNY TJOKROSAPUTRO, and Supreme Court Decision Number 2931 K/Pid.Sus/2021 on August 24, 2021, in the name of convict HERU HIDAYAT. The Central Jakarta Public Prosecutor's Office, accompanied by the Execution Control Team of the Directorate of Extraordinary Legal Efforts, Execution, and Examination of the JAM PIDSUS, carried out the seizure of land, shares, and money belonging to both convicts.
