Daily Price of Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets, January 2024

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 07:44 WIB, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in Maluku Province has not changed compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets has increased from the previous record of Rp21,200.

Meanwhile, the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in Maluku over the last three months has increased by 2.87% from the previous record of Rp20,900.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of cooking oil in traditional markets in this province was in March 2022, with an increase of 16.05%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in March 2022, with a decrease of -6.4%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Maluku show 13 commodities decreased and eight increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Garlic, Rice, Cooking Oil, Fresh Chicken Meat, Beef, Super I Quality Rice, Inferior Quality Rice II, Red Chili, Branded Cooking Oil 1, Medium-Sized Garlic, Quality 2 Beef, Curly Red Chili, and Chicken Meat.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the last month in Maluku Province:

3. Rice per Kg Rp17,000/kg (down 0.58%)
4. Sugar per Kg Rp18,500/kg (unchanged)
5. Green Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp90,000/kg (up 37.4%)
6. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp20,800/kg (down 11.11%)
7. Fresh Chicken Meat per Kg Rp51,450/kg (down 1.91%)
8. Beef per Kg Rp154,950/kg (down 6.6%)
9. Super I Quality Rice per Kg Rp16,900/kg (down 1.17%)
10. Medium Quality Rice II per Kg Rp17,200/kg (unchanged)
11. Inferior Quality Rice II per Kg Rp16,700/kg (down 2.05%)
12. Fresh Chicken Eggs per Kg Rp40,900/kg (up 6.93%)
13. Red Chili per Kg Rp54,000/kg (down 26.23%)
