Sumatera Selatan Food Prices (September 15th): Rice and Oil Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (15/9/2024) at 12.06 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, mackerel, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and dry soybeans (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp110 (0.45%) to Rp24,470 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price drop of Rp780 (11.45%) to Rp6,030 per kg.
