Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra March 19: Bird's Eye Chili Up, Rice Down

Several food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 19, 2026) at 3:59 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, bulk palm cooking oil, premium packaged palm cooking oil, curly red chili, and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as medium rice and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili price jumped the highest by Rp625 (1.09%) to Rp57,986 per kg. Meanwhile, medium rice price decreased the most by Rp15 (0.09%) to Rp15,861 per kg.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp57,986 per kg (up 1.09%)
3. Curly Red Chili: Rp45,735 per kg (up 1.05%)
4. Large Red Chili: Rp42,167 per kg (up 0.8%)
5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,339 per kg (up 0.4%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp35,191 per kg (up 0.06%)
7. Shallots: Rp32,764 per kg (up 1.01%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,992 per kg (up 0.3%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,848 per liter (up 0.17%)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,405 per kg (up 0.05%)
