Daily Prices of Curly Red Chilies at Traditional Markets in Riau Islands Province Have Decreased by 9.21% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 16:44 WIB, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in Riau Islands Province has decreased by Rp 600 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp 63,600.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets has decreased from Rp 70,050.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in Riau Islands Province over the past three months has increased by 63.71% from the previous price of Rp 38,850.

The record high for the daily price of curly red chilies in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2021 with a 47.74% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2021 with a -35.78% decrease.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Riau Islands Province show ten commodities decreased and 19 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Granulated Sugar, Red Onions, Medium-Sized White Onions, Super I Quality Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Fresh Chicken Eggs, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium-Sized Red Onions, White Onions, and Local Granulated Sugar.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price changes over the past month in Riau Islands Province:

5. Red Bird's Eye Chilies per Kg Rp 93,400 per kg (up 93.78%)
6. Bird's Eye Chilies per Kg Rp 94,900 per kg (up 78.05%)
7. Granulated Sugar per Kg Rp 17,050 per kg (down 1.16%)
8. Green Bird's Eye Chilies per Kg Rp 96,400 per kg (up 88.28%)
9. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp 19,450 per kg (up 2.91%)
10. Medium I Quality Rice per Kg Rp 16,150 per kg (up 20.52%)
