Red Chili Pepper Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in the Nation (Tuesday, July 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of large red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 102,680 per kg, as of Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 104,590 per kg.

The daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 156,350 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of large red chilies in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 86,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Sumatra, large red chilies were sold at Rp 155,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of large red chilies in North Kalimantan was Rp 150,000 per kg, North Maluku Rp 148,900 per kg, and Jambi Rp 139,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 15 provinces with large red chili selling prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for large red chilies are Bali, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
