Lampung's Current Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Food prices in Lampung today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (1/8/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, mackerel, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, curly red chilies, farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp3,680 (11.75%) to Rp35,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices experienced the steepest decline, dropping Rp17,350 (27.83%) to Rp45,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Lampung according to Bapanas on August 1, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

2. Red Chili: Rp45,000 per kg (down 27.83%)
3. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,000 per kg (up 9.99%)
4. Garlic Bulb: Rp37,000 per kg (up 1.76%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp35,000 per kg (down 13.22%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 11.75%)
7. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (up 11.65%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (down 1.89%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,000 per kg (down 13.73%)
10. Shallot: Rp22,000 per kg (down 1.79%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,500 per kg (down 0.4%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,000 per liter (down 5.1%)
