Food Prices Today (20/1) in South Sumatra: Chicken Meat and Red Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (January 20, 2026) at 18:00 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases are shallots and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic commodity saw the highest increase of Rp500 (1.41%) to Rp36,083 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp1,167 (2.72%) to Rp41,750 per kg.
