Current Food Prices in East Java: Oil Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (13/1/2025) at 11:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, medium rice, premium rice, fine iodized salt, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil experienced the highest price increase of Rp2,170 (12.45%) to Rp19,600 per liter. Skipjack tuna prices decreased the most, by Rp3,860 (14.98%) to Rp21,910 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken: Rp33,500 per kg (down 4.86%)
6. Red Onions: Rp31,340 per kg (down 12.85%)
7. Mackerel: Rp30,000 per kg (up 0.94%)
8. Milkfish: Rp29,500 per kg (down 13.36%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,680 per kg (down 4.78%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp21,910 per kg (down 14.98%)
11. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp19,600 per liter (up 12.45%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,990 per liter (down 10.91%)
