Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (25/8/2024) at 09.11 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, farmer-level corn, fine iodized salt, mackerel, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, red cayenne pepper, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,100 (25.0%) to Rp5,500 per kg. Red cayenne pepper experienced the largest price decrease of Rp3,220 (7.61%) to Rp39,110 per kg.
