Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chicken Meat, Egg, and Rice Prices Increase

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 1, 2025) at 13:38 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities saw price increases and 10 commodities saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include shallots, broiler eggs, packaged cooking oil, curly red chili, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour, bulk wheat flour, large red chili, mackerel, and consumption salt decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest jump of Rp1,325 (3.41%) to Rp40,182 per kg. The price of large red chili dropped the deepest by Rp645 (1.81%) to Rp34,911 per kg.

8. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp33,119 per kg (up 0.84%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,968 per kg (up 0.55%)
