Food Prices Today, January 29, in West Sumatra: Red Chili, Onion, and Oil Prices Decrease

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Referring to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 29, 2026) at 17:19 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 5 commodities decreased.

The only commodity with increased prices was bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird's eye chili, red onion, curly red chili, large red chili, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk granulated sugar saw the highest increase of Rp13 (0.07%) to Rp17,944 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices dropped most sharply by Rp3,000 (8.57%) to Rp32,000 per kg.
