Daily Chicken Meat Prices at Modern Markets in Papua Province Increased by 4.73% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chicken in modern markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp38,750 per kg. This price is unchanged from the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of chicken in modern markets has increased from Rp37,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chicken in modern markets in Papua over the past three months has decreased by 4.32%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of chicken in modern markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp40,500 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of chicken in modern markets in this province was in June 2023, with an increase of 28.44%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in June 2023, with a decrease of -18.11%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show six commodities decreased and 16 increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Large Red Chili, Rice, Low-Quality Rice I, Low-Quality Rice II, Medium-Quality Rice I, and Medium-Quality Rice II.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in Papua Province:

5. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp60,000 (down 16.08%)
6. Chili Peppers per kg: Rp100,750 (up 37.54%)
7. Branded Cooking Oil Package 2 per kg: Rp21,500 (unchanged)
8. Green Chili Peppers per kg: Rp100,750 (up 42.4%)
9. Rice per kg: Rp16,500 (down 0.3%)
10. Fresh Layer Eggs per kg: Rp34,500 (unchanged)
11. Medium-Sized Shallots per kg: Rp63,750 (up 35.64%)
12. Low-Quality Rice I per kg: Rp15,950 (down 0.62%)
13. Low-Quality Rice II per kg: Rp15,450 (down 0.64%)
14. Medium-Quality Rice I per kg: Rp17,350 (down 0.57%)
