Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (14/5/2024) at 15.42 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, red chilies, chicken eggs, and chicken meat.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp570 (1.27%) to Rp45,310 per kg. Skipjack tuna had the lowest price decrease, down by Rp340 (1.08%) to Rp31,230 per kg.
