Household Goods, Equipment, and Routine Maintenance Prices in Gorontalo Regency Increased by 1.24% in September

The prices of components contributing to inflation of goods and services for routine household maintenance in Gorontalo Regency in September reached 1.24%. This figure is higher than the previous month, which was recorded at 0.11%. Among the seven inflation groups measured in this region, the group of equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance contributed 0.72% of inflation in Gorontalo Regency.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance in Gorontalo Regency was at 93.95 in September 2024, higher than the previous month, which was recorded at 92.8.

This regency/city is a new area that has become the basis for the 2024 CPI calculation. Previously, referring to the 2018 CPI, BPS only calculated 90 regencies/cities. Starting in 2024, referring to the use of the 2022 base year, the CPI is calculated based on the consumption pattern from the cost of living survey (SBH) in 150 regencies/cities in 2022 (2022=100).

Historically, inflation data for this region has only been available since the beginning of 2024. Compared to the beginning of the year, the prices of components contributing to inflation in Gorontalo Regency have grown by 0.38% (year to date/ytd).

This inflation sub-group experienced the second-highest increase compared to other contributing inflation sub-groups.
