Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati confirmed that the 13th-month salary for civil servants (ASN), including members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri), and retired ASN, will be disbursed in early July 2022. The total bonus, amounting to Rp35.5 trillion, will be distributed to 8.76 million people.

The breakdown is as follows: 1.79 million recipients are central government ASN, 3.65 million are regional ASN, and 3.32 million are pensioners.

The Rp35.5 trillion budget comprises Rp11.5 trillion for all central government ASN and TNI/Polri, Rp15 trillion for regional ASN, and Rp9 trillion for retired ASN.

Sri Mulyani explained that this year's 13th-month salary consists of basic salary, family allowance, food allowance, position allowance, and 50% of performance allowance (tukin). She stated that the addition to the performance allowance is given in line with the strengthening economic recovery and the relatively good state revenue.

"This is due to the economic recovery and the increase in commodity prices, so the condition of our state budget is gradually improving," said Sri Mulyani in a press conference on Tuesday (28/6/2022).

The disbursement of the 13th-month salary is in accordance with Government Regulation Number 16 of 2022 concerning the Granting of Eid al-Fitr Allowance and the Thirteenth Month Salary to State Apparatus, Pensioners, Pension Recipients, and Allowance Recipients in 2022.

Sri Mulyani stated that the bonus is a form of appreciation for the contribution and dedication of state apparatus and pensioners in handling the Covid-19 pandemic through public service and efforts to recover the national economy.
