Daily Fresh Chicken Meat Prices at Modern Markets, April 2024-2025

Based on the latest data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in West Java Province is recorded at Rp48,700 per kg. This price is up Rp5,250 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets has increased from a previous record of Rp43,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in West Java over the past three months has increased by 14.45% from the previous price of Rp42,550 per kg.

The highest price increase for daily fresh broiler chicken in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in July 2018 with an increase of 15.88%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in September 2023 with a decrease of -12.04%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Java show seven commodities decreased and 23 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Super II Quality Rice, Rice, Grade I Low Quality Rice, Grade II Low Quality Rice, Grade II Medium Quality Rice, Fresh Chicken Eggs, and Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in West Java Province:

2. Super II Quality Rice per kg: Rp14,700 (down 1.67%)
3. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,500 (up 1.9%)
4. Sugar per kg: Rp17,650 (up 1.44%)
5. Rice per kg: Rp14,350 (down 1.03%)
6. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp22,900 (up 4.09%)
7. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp22,200 (up 3.02%)
8. Grade I Low Quality Rice per kg: Rp12,600 (down 4.55%)
9. Red Chili per kg: Rp177,000 (up 106.05%)
10. Green Chili per kg: Rp134,750 (up 94.58%)
11. Chili per kg: Rp155,900 (up 117.43%)
12. Curly Red Chili per kg: Rp121,600 (up 54.51%)
13. Grade II Low Quality Rice per kg: Rp11,600 (down 7.57%)
14. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp130,000 (up 59.51%)
15. Chicken Meat per kg: Rp48,700 (up 13.26%)
