Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chili Up, Sugar Down (Friday, February 23, 2024)

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (23/2/2024) at 14:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, pure beef, red chilies, chicken eggs, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, tongkol fish, kembung fish, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp910 (1.38%) to Rp67,010 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp190 (0.56%) to Rp33,960 per kg.
