Current Food Prices in East Java Region: Rice Up, Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (29/8/2025) at 11:18 AM WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include packaged wheat flour, SPHP rice, mackerel, milkfish, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as corn at the farmer level, pure beef, red onion, bulk wheat flour, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Tuna fish commodity increased the most by Rp964 (3.1%) to Rp32,022 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper decreased the most by Rp526 (2.18%) to Rp23,598 per kg.

6. Tuna: Rp32,022 per kg (up 3.1%)
7. Garlic Bulb: Rp29,917 per kg (up 0.37%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp27,804 per kg (up 1.12%)
9. Curly Red Chili: Rp26,778 per kg (down 1.57%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,185 per kg (up 0.05%)
11. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp23,598 per kg (down 2.18%)
12. Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp19,475 per liter (down 1.73%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,711 per liter (down 1.11%)
