West Java Food Prices Week of July 14th: Cooking Oil Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (14/7/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, shallots, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, pure beef, premium rice, bulk wheat flour, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Simple packaged cooking oil saw the highest price increase of Rp530 (3.07%) to Rp17,780 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp840 (15.0%) to Rp4,760 per kg.
