Today's Food Prices (Jan 15) in Central Java: Red Chili Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 15, 2026) at 16:16 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were large red chili, wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, and bulk refined sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as medium rice, curly red chili, broiler chicken eggs, red bird's eye chili, and red onion decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity saw the highest jump of Rp125 (0.42%) to Rp30,125 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili dropped the sharpest by Rp222 (0.65%) to Rp33,926 per kg.
