Food Prices Today (01/08) in Central Java: Oil Up, Red Cayenne Pepper Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Basic Necessity Market Monitoring System of the Ministry of Trade (SP2KP Kemendag) as of Thursday (1/8/2026) at 13.54 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 saw price increases and 6 saw price decreases.

Commodities with rising prices include bulk palm cooking oil, Minyakita, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chili, purebred chicken eggs, shallots, broiler chicken meat, and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Minyakita saw the highest increase of Rp74 (0.44%) to Rp16,822 per liter. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper fell the most by Rp2,259 (5.35%) to Rp39,963 per kg.

8. Purebred Chicken Eggs: Rp29,056 per kg (down 0.82%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,944 per liter (unchanged)
