West Java Food Prices Monday (December 16th): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Food prices in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (16/12/2024) at 08.03 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 17 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are granulated sugar, pure beef, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, mackerel, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,370 (3.41%) to Rp41,600 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,840 (18.11%) to Rp8,320 per kg.
