Food Prices in East Java Today: Oil Prices Rise, Buffalo Meat Falls

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to have fallen compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (26/8/2025) at 13.18 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 18 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were premium rice, broiler chicken meat, packaged cooking oil, corn at farmer level, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as mackerel, large red chili, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), skipjack tuna, and dried soybean seeds (imported) decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level jumped the highest by Rp102 (1.82%) to Rp5,711 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fresh buffalo meat (local) fell most sharply by Rp121,667 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
