Top 10 Corporate Income Taxpayers of 2016

PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) paid corporate income tax (CIT) of Rp 9 trillion in 2016, a 12.4 percent increase from the previous year. According to Bloomberg's compilation, Telkom's CIT payment was the largest compared to other issuers that have released their 2016 financial reports.

Bank BRI ranked second with CIT payments of Rp 7.75 trillion in 2016, up 9.35 percent from the previous year. HM Sampoerna followed in third place with CIT payments of Rp 4.24 trillion, up 19.1 percent from the previous year.

Total CIT payments from these ten issuers reached Rp 36.89 trillion, a 7.89 percent increase from the previous year. Eight issuers saw an increase in CIT payments in 2016; only two experienced a decrease: Astra International, down 1.64 percent, and Bank Mandiri, down 24.81 percent.
