Banten Region Food Prices Saturday (January 4th): Onion and Beef Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (4/1/2025) at 12:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, red chilies, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk cooking oil, shallot cloves, curly red chilies, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn saw the highest increase of Rp2,360 (35.54%) to Rp9,000 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the steepest decrease of Rp2,900 (7.81%) to Rp34,240 per kg.
