Today's Food Prices, December 02, in West Sumatra: Onions Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Necessities Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (2/12/2025) at 16:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are medium rice and Honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, red cayenne pepper, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Honan garlic commodity surged the highest by Rp2,000 (6.17%) to Rp34,417 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper dropped the deepest by Rp7,222 (8.87%) to Rp74,167 per kg.

4. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp74,167 per kg (down 8.87%)
5. Shallots: Rp43,361 per kg (down 3.1%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp42,416 per kg (stable)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,417 per kg (up 6.17%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,478 per kg (stable)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,319 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,889 per kg (stable)
