Latest Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (11/10/2024) at 13.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, red chilies, shallots, iodized fine salt, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, SPHP rice, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,040 (2.29%) to Rp46,500 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp170 (3.0%) to Rp5,490 per kg.
