South Sumatra Food Prices on Monday (July 22nd): Chili and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (22/7/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), chicken eggs, milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, premium rice, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest, up by Rp1,890 (2.98%) to Rp65,280 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies fell the most sharply, down Rp1,470 (3.28%) to Rp43,300 per kg.
