Today's Food Prices March 19 in West Java: Red Chili Up, Cooking Oil Down

Several food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 19, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 9 increased and 1 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include large red chili, curly red chili, broiler chicken meat, bulk granulated sugar, and red bird's eye chili.

Meanwhile, only bulk palm cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's price.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp5,994 (10.66%) to Rp62,198 per kg. Bulk palm cooking oil prices decreased the most by Rp33 (0.16%) to Rp20,124 per liter.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp42,981 per kg (up 1.37%)
6. Shallots: Rp40,852 per kg (up 2.16%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,327 per kg (up 0.04%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp31,086 per kg (unchanged)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,638 per liter (up 0.22%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,124 per liter (down 0.16%)
