Today's Food Prices (Feb 3) in Central Java: Chicken and Onion Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (Feb 3, 2026) at 13:56 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices are imported soybeans, red bird's eye chilies, red onions, large red chilies, and bulk granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chilies saw the highest increase of Rp2,352 (3.9%) to Rp62,648 per kg. Honan garlic prices experienced the sharpest drop of Rp334 (1.0%) to Rp33,222 per kg.

3. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,759 per kg (up 0.1%)
4. Red Onions: Rp36,426 per kg (up 0.77%)
5. Honan Garlic: Rp33,222 per kg (down 1.0%)
6. Large Red Chilies: Rp31,333 per kg (up 0.94%)
7. Curly Red Chilies: Rp28,667 per kg (up 2.04%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,194 per kg (down 0.21%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,130 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,007 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,900 per kg (up 0.11%)
