Current Food Prices in Banten: Onions Up, Rice Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (6/9/2025) at 08.07 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 saw price increases and 14 saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, bulk wheat flour, consumption salt, garlic, and broiler eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as fresh buffalo meat (local), dried soybean seeds (imported), frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), mackerel, and consumption sugar decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Garlic saw the highest increase of Rp4,435 (12.47%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, corn prices at the farmer level dropped most sharply by Rp9,250 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

6. Large Red Chili: Rp40,000 per kg (down 6.25%)
7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (down 2.66%)
8. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (down 14.29%)
9. Mackerel: Rp30,000 per kg (down 26.23%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 12.5%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 3.12%)
