Current Banten Region Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

Food prices in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Wednesday (31/7/2024) at 2:48 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice (SPHP), granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, pure beef, medium rice, chicken eggs, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken meat prices surged the highest by Rp500 (1.37%) to Rp37,090 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) fell the most sharply by Rp330 (2.61%) to Rp12,320 per kg.
