Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Rice Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, January 10, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (10/1/2024) at 14.21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, medium rice, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, milkfish, skipjack tuna, red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice experienced the highest price increase of Rp90 (0.69%) to Rp13,210 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili peppers saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,900 (5.09%) to Rp54,070 per kg.
