Today's Food Price Update in West Java: Oil Prices Drop (Wednesday, January 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (31/1/2024) at 12.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, premium rice, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, mackerel, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Premium rice saw the highest price increase of Rp180 (1.22%) to Rp14,880 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease of Rp320 (4.72%) to Rp6,460 per kg.
