Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Sugar, Chili, and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (27/7/2024) at 13:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, pure beef, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, medium rice, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp150 (3.2%) to Rp4,840 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the largest price decrease of Rp570 (4.84%) to Rp11,210 per kg.
