Current Food Prices in East Java: Chili and Chicken Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (30/12/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, milkfish, broiler chicken, Indian mackerel, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), broiler eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was red chilies, up by Rp3,690 (8.29%) to Rp48,180 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for corn at the farmer level, down Rp90 (1.59%) to Rp5,580 per kg.
