President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has increased performance allowances (tukin) for employees of the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) and the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency (Bapeten).
This policy is stipulated in Presidential Regulations (Perpres) 29/2024 and Perpres 30/2024, enacted on February 16, 2024.
The performance allowance is differentiated based on job class. There are at least 17 job classes within BP2MI and Bapeten.
The highest performance allowance is given to job class 17, amounting to Rp33.24 million per month, up from the previous amount of Rp26.32 million per month.
Meanwhile, the lowest is for job class 1, at Rp2.53 million per month, up from the previous Rp1.96 million per month.
This performance allowance is not given to BP2MI and Bapeten employees who do not hold a specific position, are temporarily dismissed, or have been dismissed from their organic position.
The allowance also does not apply to employees on leave without government support or during a period of leave for retirement preparation.
The following are the amounts of performance allowances for BP2MI and Bapeten employees based on job class, according to Perpres 29/2024 and Perpres 30/2024:
